Michael Crocker says his inspiration for making pottery came as a young boy playing in the old Wilson Pottery Shop just below were he grew up in Lula. Seeing the older potters dwindling out as the need for this type pottery was passing away, made him want to learn the old time skills and do all he could to help keep the craft alive.
