One of the most experienced guides on West Point Lake, Tommy Mike began his guide service back in 1975 when the lake was impounded. Tommy, who has a Masters degree in fisheries biology from Auburn University, believes that a fishing trip should be a learning experience. On fishing trips, he instructs clients in the art of fishing on West Point Lake. This includes physical and geographical information about the lake, map instruction, seasonal fishing patterns, and equipment and tackle usage.
Tommy Mike Guide Service specializes in corporate trips. Items furnished on an outing in Tommy MIke's custom designed boat include all tackle, all gasoline and oil, life jackets, rain gear, live bait, lunch, drinks and ice.
Tommy Mike Guide Service conducts fishing clinics and organizes mini fishing tournaments. The guide service also has a lakeside cottage on West Point Lake that is available to rent.
