Operated by the Historic Roswell Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Roswell Visitors Center is a must stop for anyone visiting Roswell. You can pick up a free Roswell Visitors Guide as well as other maps and brochures about recreational assets in Roswell.
Tours
Roswell is noted for its antebellum and Civil War history and its historic homes. At the Visitors Center you will find information on what is called The Southern Trilogy: three historic homes in Roswell – Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall and Smith Plantation. You also can pick up self-guided walking tours of Roswell's Historic District, cemeteries, and Civil War sites. You can check out a Civil War/Roswell Mill Village Audio Tour to hear the stories of early Roswell, Roswell Mills, the Civil War, and the 400 women and children mill workers who were charged with treason by the Union and sent north to uncertain fates. There is also information on the Roswell Ghost Tour and the Spirit of Roswell Riverboat cruise on the Chattahoochee River.
Guided tours of historic homes and landmarks in the Roswell Historic District frequently leave from the Roswell Visitors Center. Tours of the Mill Village and Founders Cemetery are available by reservation.
Outdoors
The Visitors Center has information about all the wonderful things to do along the portion of the Chattahoochee River that flows through Roswell, including the Chattahoochee Nature Center, the old Roswell Mill ruins on Vickery Creek, the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area with its many hiking trails, boat ramps, fishing, and picnic areas, and area outfitters for renting boating equipment.
Museums
Stroll through the Heritage Center located at the Visitors Center to view exhibits showcasing the history of the Roswell Mills and mill life. The exhibits are free and open to the public.
Artists and Performing Arts
There are numerous artists, art galleries, orchestras, theaters and other performing and visual arts in Roswell. Information on all can be found at the Visitors Center.

Roswell has a number of fine hotels and motels. The Visitors Center carries information on lodging as well as the most recent special offerings.
