The center celebrates the culture of the Indians who inhabited the Chattahoochee Valley and includes a stickball field, interpretive plaques, a sacred fire sculpture, an interpretive trail, and the names of Creek Indians who were located to Fort Mitchell before being removed west in the 1830s during the Trail of Tears.

Located 10 miles south of Phenix City, Alabama, the center is run by the Chattahoochee Indian Heritage Association founded by the Chattahoochee Historic Commission.
