This magnificent home has been called one of metro Atlanta's most beautiful homes by leading publications and is recognized as one of the best examples of Greek Revival Temple Architecture in the United States. Owned by the Barrington King family until 2002, Barrington Hall is furnished with many original family possessions, and the surrounding six acres of original grounds look much as they did 170 years ago.
Barrington Hall was built in 1842 for Barrington King, son of Roswell King. The Kings were co-founders in the development of the fledgling community now known as Roswell, Georgia, and in founding the successful textile mills of the Roswell Manufacturing Company.
In 2005, the home, its original furnishings, and all surrounding grounds were purchased by the City of Roswell. Barrington Hall is listed on the National Register of Historic Homes.
Barrington Hall is open to visitors every day except national holidays. Tours start on the hour.
