The APEX Museum houses a replica of the 1923 Yates and Milton Drug Store, one of Atlanta’s first Black-owned businesses. Visitors will hear the stories of early African-American pioneers in Atlanta and learn about the powerful Black families that helped to make Atlanta great. The APEX has extensive information on the history of Auburn Avenue, where it is located and one of the great African-American streets in America. There are artifacts, photographs and multi-media presentations on the African-American cultural experience both past and present.
