Our cuisine reflects specialties from around the country, as well as favorites from our local region. Amelia's Restaurant is a wonderful example of Victorian elegance. The tile floor is original and so well-restored that the local historical society will not allow the floor to be covered with wall-to-wall carpeting. The furnishings are period reproductions, including the wrought-iron footed tables, reflecting the style of the Victorian period. The beauty and splendor of Amelia's Restaurant has held many weddings and galas and it continues to be the site of many memorable events today.
Based on a past review, we didn’t know what to expect but were very pleased with our dinner at Amelia’s. We were staying at the Windsor and bad weather compelled us to try the hotel’s restaurant. Like the rest of the hotel, it was a beautiful, charming intimate space. The updated decor (which did not take away from the historic character) was just lovely and romantic. The only thing missing was candles on the tables. The food was good and the prices were on par with the nicer area restaurants. We found the service to be both friendly and attentive. However, the restaurant is open only set hours so be aware of that if you wish to visit for breakfast or dinner. We’d go back when we are at the hotel again.
