Newnan’s Ten East Washington has been updated on the Brown’s Guide website, along with six other Newnan restaurants, including Andre’s Off the Square, Expresso Lane, Redneck Gourmet, and the classic Sprayberry’s Barabecue - the original (operated by four generations of the same family beginning in 1926).

Newnan, the County Seat of Coweta County, has one of Georgia's finest town squares and several of the restaurants listed are on, or within walking distance, of the square. The grand 1904 Coweta County Courthouse - the centerpiece of the square - was the star, along with Johnny Cash and Andy Griffiths, of the 1983 made-for-TV-movie Murder in Coweta County, based on the book by the same name by Margaret Anne Barnes, a Newnan native.
